Arts&Beats, an art show with a music twist, featuring MURK, this Saturday, March 10, at SOMA’s Terra Gallery

Arts & Beats is Saturday, March 10, 2012, at San Francisco's Terra Gallery and will feature over 50 artists, live music and DJs.
Arts&Beats kicks off this Saturday March 10th, 2012, at San Francisco’s Terra Gallery and will showcase over 50 amazing artists from all over the Bay Area along with a stellar line-up of live and DJ-mixed music to dance to.
“Arts” will start at 3 p.m. and will be displayed on Terra’s elegant two levels + patio (30,000 sq feet in all) until 4 a.m. In case you haven’t been to Terra before, it’s an elegant SOMA gallery and event venue with 40 foot tall floor to ceiling windows that become a glittering tableau by night. All artworks will be offered for sale with no gallery commission, so 100% of each sale will go directly to the artists, a quite unusual arrangement. (See list of participating artists below.)
“Beats” will be going from 3 p.m. until 4 a.m. Headliners will perform at 9 p.m., starting with House music legends MURK —Ralph Falcon and Oscar G—who will offer their own unique dark, pulsating tribal beats, unforgettable melodies, and soulful vocals. Other musicians include: DJ’s David Harness and Grammy-nominated Chris Lum of Harlum Muziq (San Francisco based), DJ Adnan Sharif of Forward, and DJ John Destiny from Brooklyn, New York, P.I.M.P records. There will also be 2 full bars and food trucks.
